Introducing ‘ Intricate Peace’

The Quintessa Studio has been hard at work developing a number of exclusive new artwork concepts for 2015, which we hope will inspire our clients. Having carried out research into the commercial and residential interiors market, we are proud to launch the first of our trend stories entitled, ‘Intricate Peace’. This trend responds to emerging surface and colour directions.

Intricate Peace is a story that responds directly to the growing movement of sensuality in colour and mood. Using the orange based tones seen recently in the Pantone Colour of the Year Marsala, and also the trends for Copper Blush, our story moves into damson and raspberry tones, through to soft pinks and lilacs, which directly reference physicality and nurturing qualities, and represent the gentler human touch in design.

Smoked greys and frosting creates an ephemeral quality to surface design inspired by recent trends in ice-cold marble. Our whole palette is lifted by minute elements of soft cool yellow and the smallest flecks of satin gold that add to the overall celebration of femininity and comfort.

Muted rose metals complement satin gold and shapes are rounded with a sense of movement, and fluidity. Furniture and accessories are padded, wrapped, voluminous and curved. Graphic elements have their corners rubbed off. Patterns meander and have indistinct edging and a dreamlike focus. Miniature organic motifs are handcrafted and unique reference a scandi-japanese tradition of clean lines.

Key RAL references for this story include: RAL 3007, RAL 4002, RAL 4009, RAL 2012, RAL 3015, RAL 1016, RAL 7038, RAL 7021.
